Neuromodulation Treatment Protocol

 PRE & POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS

BOTOX, DAXXIFY, DYSPORT

Pre-Treatment Instructions:

  • Ensure your skin is clean and free of makeup before treatment.
  • Avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol for a few days leading up to your treatment, as they can increase the risk of bruising.
  • Discuss any medications or supplements you are currently taking with your provider.

What to Expect:

You may experience some redness, swelling, or mild bruising immediately after treatment.
Occasional tingling or discomfort is normal, especially if this is your first treatment.
If you received a neuromodulator (Botox, Dysport, or Daxxify), results will gradually develop over 2-14 days and last 3-4 months.

  • Refrain from aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol for a few days post-treatment.
  • Avoid exercise for 24 hours.

  • Limit sun exposure and cold outdoor activities until redness subsides.
  • Do not restart Retinol or Retin-A for at least 2 days after treatment.
  • Stay upright; do not lie down for at least 4 hours after treatment.
  • A headache may occur, especially if this is your first Botox treatment.
  • Tingling sensations are normal and usually subside within a few days.
  • Makeup can be reapplied after treatment.
  • Full effects may take 2-14 days to appear, and results typically last 3-4 months.

Follow Up Care:

  • Your provider will follow up with you in 1-2 weeks to assess the treatment results.
